About the Client
Our Client is part of the TVS Group of companies has been designing, developing and manufacturing battery chargers in India since 1986.
Their chargers have proven their ruggedness and reliability by working in industrial environments. Their chargers are present in every state and union territory in India. The chargers are now exported to the Middle East and other parts of the globe.
Our Clients Focus area is on the Battery Operated Material Handling (BOMH) segment.
The chargers are designed for use with Flooded Lead Acid batteries, VRLA batteries and Lithium batteries. They have different charging profiles for various types of batteries.
Job Responsibilities
- To source electronic components and manage electronic material inventories in line with inventory policy
- To Implement product development plans and effect the ongoing reduction in lead-time
- To bring about continuous improvements in quality, cost savings, product enhancement, lead-time reduction, and other competitive advantages to the business
- Competent in sourcing and supplier development is a MUST, and knowledge of Battery components is an added advantage.
- Coordinate procurement activities with production plans
- To develop systems to ensure product integrity
- To ensure vendor conformance to EHS policy and ISO and other required certifications
- To track new and emerging technologies/products in the electronics industry
- To ensure minimum obsolescence of materials
Vendor management in bidding and quotation management system (BQMS). Identify and evaluate sources of goods or services procurement that are specific to the category
Skills/Experience
a. Education/Qualification: Graduate Engineer with Specialisation in Electronics
b. Experience: 10 to 15 years experience in handling procurement/supply chain operations in Manufacturing/Operations (Electronics industry)
